We’ve received many questions about Nabox’s relationship with NULS, and would like to share our story today.
As we have described to all our investors and even in our Litepaper, Nabox was created back in 2018 by an independent team as a dedicated mobile wallet for NULS users.
After some time, the original Nabox team was dissolved as it was unable to turn a profit, and the team members were added to the NULS Technical Committee (NTC). In July 2020, the Nabox team announced that maintenance and upgrades of Nabox would cease, and control of Nabox was handed over to the NTC.
Along the way, in late 2020, Nabox evolved. As DeFi came more and more popular, the need for a cross-chain wallet delivered as a browser extension started coming into view. At the prodding of a handful of investors, the spark of an idea was born.
In 2021, the NULS core team made an executive decision to branch off Nabox as an independent project with its own token, using the cross-chain capabilities of NerveNetwork, another NULS-incubated project. Nabox’s independence will allow it to have its own marketing budget, operation resources, and a fresh beginning.
New users attracted from the broader DeFi scene will witness the cross-chain capabilities of NULS and NerveNetwork that we are so proud of. A successful Nabox will no doubt attract projects and developers to consider NULS their blockchain of choice.
Since then, we are pleased to report that we have received over one million dollars USD in investments from a group of over thirty investors comprised of institutions, exchanges, influencers and so on.
To thank the NULS community and team for its work in developing Nabox’s Chrome Plug-in Extension, Nabox will put 10,000,000,000 NABOX tokens on the NULS SCO/POCM platform. Users can stake NULS to the Nabox SCO and earn NABOX tokens. The NULS tokens acquired by Nabox through the SCO will be swapped for NABOX tokens and will be periodically burnt, ensuring a win-win situation for NULS and Nabox.
Nabox will play an important role in improving the NULS ecosystem, fostering a user-friendly gateway to NULS for DeFi users. In this way, we will bring the usage of NULS’ blockchain and the cross-chain capabilities of NerveNetwork mainstream.
We have also put in place an airdrop program that will provide additional tokens to Nabox users, while attracting fresh users from the broader DeFi ecosystem as well. Details will be disclosed at a later date.
Nabox will make every effort to create compelling usage scenarios for the NULS ecosystem. With Nabox, use cases for NULS and NerveNetwork in the DeFi arena will become readily apparent.
